Troubleshooting Common Backup Errors in EaseUS Todo Backup Advanced Server

How to migrate servers safely with EaseUS Todo Backup Advanced Server

Preparation

  1. Schedule a maintenance window and notify stakeholders.
  2. Verify compatibility: destination hardware/VM supports OS and drivers listed in EaseUS specs.
  3. Update OS and critical apps on source; install necessary drivers for destination.
  4. Perform full backup (image) of source server and copy the image to a separate storage location (NAS/external/cloud).
  5. Export configurations (IP, DNS, active directory, Exchange/SQL settings) and note license keys.
  6. Test restore plan on a non-production host or VM to validate image integrity and bootability.

Step‑by‑step migration (prescriptive)

  1. On the source server open EaseUS Todo Backup Advanced Server → click New Task → choose Disk/Partition Backup (or System Backup for entire OS).
  2. Select the source disk/partitions (include system, EFI/boot, recovery, and data partitions) → choose a destination path for the image → enable compression/encryption if required → Save.
  3. Click Proceed to create the backup image. Wait until the task completes and verify checksum or test mount.
  4. Create bootable Emergency Media (USB or ISO) from EaseUS on another machine.
  5. Boot the destination server (or bare‑metal machine) from the Emergency Media.
  6. In recovery environment choose System Transfer or Recover → browse to the backup image location (network/NAS, external drive, or cloud).
  7. Select target disk on destination. If hardware differs, enable Add Drivers and supply necessary driver .inf files when prompted.
  8. Start the restore/transfer process. Monitor for errors; allow time for disk cloning and file transfer.
  9. After completion, remove
